This exciting project is nearing completion to provide a world cruising charter/expedition vessel with special design considerations for cold climate sailing, based on Greenland experience, such as strengthened bow and water tight compartments for safety.  A hydraulic lifting keel giving a draft of 1.5m to 3m and a lifting rudder for ice work and to enable us to sail very efficiently at 8-10 knots whilst still allowing access to restricted anchorages.

The estimated build time was 5 years.  Having only worked on it part time for the first 3 years, this project is now nearing completion with launch early 2012.

Launch will be in Ipswich, followed by sea trials.  Sailing after that will be posted on this website, so keep an eye on us!

After taking in the Bird Nesting Season in the Western Hebrides, the following year will hopefully see a return trip to Greenland, forging further North up the West coast.  We also plan a trip to Norway and are investigating sailing / ski touring options for the Arctic Circle.
