Home Up The Crew The Yacht The Fun

After a week of fabricating, the floors from frames 16-20 are now welded into the hull to hold the keel case in place. (Right

Also shown the keel case hanging vertically and some of the water/fuel tanks either side of the floor frames. (Left)
A week I have waited for, the keel is finally part of the hull, after several days of difficult welding.

Left: looking along the hull and through the floor frames.

Right: Looking at the keel case from inside the hull, showing the frames or 'boat's ribs'.

A great week, the last two plates have been fitted and tacked.  The hull is complete. (Right) Off to Southampton Boat Show tomorrow to order the JCB/Mermaid Engine, PRM gearbox and feathering propellor.
