The first task
was to build a full size steel flat patch. A base that is perfectly
level and strong enough to support the weight of the complete hull.
The steel box allows a fixing sling around them in order to pull or push on
the hull. (Left) A 20 Foot shipping container Janice bought
in her lunch break at Siemens, stacked with the aluminium kit, tooling, etc.
Janice started her welding training by putting the shelving together. (Right)
